Make An Impact

Since 1950 an estimated 8.3 billion metric tons of plastic has been produced, with an estimated 79% now in the natural environment. The annual production of plastic is growing, from 2 million metric tons in 1950, to 380 million metric tons in 2015 [source].

This project aims to educate and promote change around the over-reliance on plastic. The concept focused on the word “impact”, as the issue is something that can no longer be ignored but is something everyone can play a part in.

The final poster series contains ten A2 posters over five themes. Collages and photography were used to emphasise that the issue is in the real world, and the typography was deliberately used to make the audience feel uneasy.
